Letter: Community Feedback on Carson City School Superintendent Hire
Dear parents, grandparents and concerned residents,
Carson City School Board Trustees will be deciding on the top 1 or 2 candidates to be interviewed on February 22, 2022 and February 23, 2022, if needed, to fill the Carson City School Superintendent vacancy.
This meeting will be held at the Robert Crowell Board Room, Community Center, 851 E William Street, at 5:30pm on February 2nd, 2022.
Carson City School District has been governed by the same philosophies and practices over the last 14 years under the current Superintendent, Richard Stokes. Carson City schools are below the math and reading proficiency level s and Nevada is ranked 50th of the K-12 school ranking nationally.
Time for action by concerned parents and residents. We need a change agent as the next Superintendent. Someone who can envision a brighter future for our students. Time for an experienced Superintendent from a school district which is ranked higher than Nevada such as New Hampshire, ranked at #5 nationally, where candidate Dr. Goldhardt is currently the Superintendent. We should not hire anyone who will be learning on the job because it is their 1st Superintendent position. We also cannot hire a Superintendent who will use lens to focus only on marginalized students or have a globalist activist agenda for schools.
The initial 6 candidates selected by the School Board Trustees have their presentations on https://sites.google.com/carson.k12.nv.us/superintendent-search/home
Copy this url to your browser and then click on the survey line under the photo of the candidate to provide your
feedback. This community survey ends tomorrow, Sunday, January 30th.
Alternatively, you can send your comments to publiccomment@carson.k12.nv.us Your comments, limited to 3 minutes, will be read at the meeting if you cannot be present at the meeting. Other supporting material that you send will be entered into the record so that Trustees can take your submission into full consideration to make their decision.
Our grassroots organization has done the hard work for you by preparing a detailed evaluation of
each candidate which we can discuss with you. Please contact me at build2win@rural-mail.us or

I look forward to seeing you on February 2nd at 5:30pm. Your presence at the meeting is critical. We care about the future of our children and want the School Board Trustees to make the right decision.
