Northern Nevada internet service provider deploys technology to bring faster internet availability
Northern Nevada local internet service provider, Preferred Networks, has announced that Minden has been selected to deploy its new, HiFi wireless internet technology, enabling internet speeds up to 20 times faster than the fastest connection currently accessible to customers and new subscribers in the area.
"With so many families working and learning from home the last year and a half, we understand the need for modern broadband capabilities where it wasn’t possible before. We’re thrilled about the difference the faster speeds will make to our customers in the region." said Todd Mason, General Manager for Preferred Networks.
The completed network improvements have enabled an option to get internet speeds that rival direct fiber optic connections from a locally operated company and will be expanded to Carson City and parts of Reno over the next month.
This network upgrade is driven by customer feedback and is part of Preferred Networks’ commitment to deliver the best available technology with the highest level of service to the communities it serves.
