New Choreographed Ballroom and Beginning Square Dance Lessons
What is Choreographed Ballroom?
Choreographed Ballroom, also known as Round Dancing or Synchronized Ballroom, is where the dancers proceed in a circular counterclockwise pattern around the dance floor. Instead of memorizing a dance routine, you are “cued” the steps to pre-choreographed dances.
There are two different dance styles: Latin, which includes Rumba, Cha-Cha, Jive, Mambo; and Smooth, which includes Foxtrot and Waltz.
What is Square Dancing Like Today?
Taught by an experienced instructor, you will learn the names of the calls and dance patterns associated with them. From country classics to current pop hits and golden oldies, callers today sing and call to a wide variety of music.
There are several clubs here in the Northern NV area that hold dances, with live square dance callers, on a regular basis. Square dancing is good for you both physically and mentally; plus it’s FUN!
