Carson City School District's Nutrition Program hosted "Breakfast with a Hero" Wednesday morning at Bordewich Bray Elementary School. School Resource Officers and other local law enforcement took time to serve and sit and eat with students.

The Capital City Arts Initiative announces its exhibition, "High School Pic(ks) 2018" at the Community Development Building, also known as the Brick, 108 E Proctor Street, Carson City.

Nevada added 3,500 jobs in March bringing employment in the Silver State to a record high of 1,373,700, according to figures released Wednesday by the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation. Unemployment in March remained constant at 4.9 percent.

Mary Rose “Mosey” Vargas Covington passed away on April 2, 2018. Born in Auburn, California in November of 1942, Mosey grew up on a Sierra foothills ranch in Placer County and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1960. She came to the eastern Sierra Nevada in 1965 where she taught two generations of children and raised her own family.
