January 28, 2012 - 9:00am Carson Girls Softball is a non-profit organization committed to providing young ladies (ages 5 - 18) in the Carson City area the opportunity to play recreational fastpitch softball in an organized environment. Program goals are to teach girls the fundamentals of softball while promoting good sportsmanship and encouraging exercise and citizenship. In-Person Registration, January 28 and February 4, 9AM – 1PM, Carson City Community Center Gym (851 East William Street).

Four Carson Senators named to all-state team

Running back Dylan Sawyers, kicker Austin Pacheco and linebacker Chance Quilling were named to the first team, while defensive lineman Logan Peternell made the second team.

Also here's a reminder: Silver Oak Golf and Event Center is holding its holiday food drive. Bring three or more cans of food or non-perishable food items and get a free bucket of driving range golf balls. Bring five or more and get a bucket of balls, a hot dog and a soft drink. All food donations will be sent to Friends in Service Helping Need (FISH).
Free Lift Tickets for Tahoe License Plate Buyers

The Tahoe Fund announced today that 12 major Lake Tahoe-area ski resorts are offering two free Alpine or Nordic tickets for every purchase of a California or Nevada Lake Tahoe license plate between December 12 and April 15.
LIttle League Baseball Registration

January 28, 2012 (All day) Carson City Little League will be accepting registrations for the 2012 season on Saturday, January 28th from 8 am to noon and Saturday, February 4th from 8 am to noon. We will be at the indoor facility located in the Northeast corner of Governors field (500 East Evalyn Drive).
The league is for boys and girls ages 4 1/2 (By April 30th) to 16.
We are extending our ages from last year to allow 13-16 year olds to play in our leage. We have also added our new 50/70 program to allow for a transition from the smaller little league fields to the larger Senior league fields.
Football makes it to Regionals
Submitted by admin on Fri, 12/02/2011 - 12:54pmThe feelings in the stands and on the field were mutual in the last quarter of the game as the score ended 49-0 with Reed winning. The loss may have felt worse because the Senators had an almost perfect season, making it to the Northern 4A Regional Championship of the playoffs. The look on the Carson senior boys said it all as they walked off the field for the last time. The Carson crowd surrounded the exit off the field clapping for the boys’ season.
Raiders end Carson's season 49-0

Top-ranked Reed dominated in all phases of the game en route to an easy 49-0 win over the second-seeded Senators in the NIAA 4A state semifinal game at Mackay Stadium.

Carson beats Damonte Ranch 44-17

I'm Nick Durst. I have been filming allot of the games for Carson Now. I am just curious about how come on Nevada Day schools play on that Thursday. But this Friday is Veterans Day and there will be high school football on Friday night instead of Thursday night. It just doses not make sense. Any way if you go This Friday night at 7:00pm Carson Plays Damonte Ranch High School. This will be at Carson high school. Last time the two teams played it was at Damonte ranch for the regular season. Which Carson won 28-21. Now they play for round one of the regional playoffs.
