Movie Review: 'Colombiana' - vengeance is beautiful

"Colombiana," a thriller currently playing at the Fandango Galaxy multiplex in Carson City and other local theaters, is a revenge film starring the big blue woman of "Avatar," Zoe Saldana, as Cataleva Restrepo. The excellent Amandia Sternberg plays Restrepo as a young girl --- and if there is anyone going to star in future movies it's this young lady. She's solemn, unfazed and a real actress.

Classic car auction underway at Silver Oak Golf Course

If you have a desire to cruise Hot August Nights in style, check out the classic car auction going on today through Sunday at Silver Oak Golf Course.

There are more than 500 cars up for auction, everything from classic antiques to 70s muscle cars. Out of that 500, 150 cars come from the collection of Carson City businessman Garth Richards.

The event kicked off yesterday, and they celebrated with a fireworks display last night.
