Carson City Public Works to make water system adjustments, may result in discolored water

Carson City Public Works will be performing water system adjustments the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 2. This may result in discolored water in the area bounded by Highway 50 East, Fairview Drive, S. Edmonds Drive, Sonoma Street and Roop Street, Silver Sage Drive.

Carson City, Quad County COVID-19 Monday briefing: 1 death, 124 new cases, 3 recoveries

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Monday, Nov. 30, 2020 that there is an additional death due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. The individual was a Lyon County resident. We are also reporting 124 new cases and 3 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brings the total number of cases to 4,893, with 2,413 recoveries and 34 deaths; 2,446 cases remain active.

Agencies continue prescribed fire operations at Lake Tahoe

Carson City museum to re-open Wednesday with pine tree presentation

The Nevada State Museum, Carson City, will reopen Wednesday; visitors will be able to learn about pine trees during the Curator’s Corner presentations from 1 to 3 p.m. Additionally, the museum this Saturday will resume its weekly demonstrations of historic Coin Press No. 1, minting a special medallion honoring Nevada’s health care heroes.
