Carson City man pleads guilty in Dec. 3 standoff with SWAT

Truck used in Dayton ATM theft located; suspect still at large

Seeking Safety is an evidence-based curriculum gained at helping women develop skills to keep themselves out of unsafe relationships and avoid self-abuse of drugs or alcohol.
Carson Mall to host Bingo night to benefit Pop Warner Cheer Squad

NV Energy urges not to launch mylar balloons during New Year's revelry
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 12/31/2019 - 10:05amEarly New Year's morning in Carson City circa 1999-2000, a mylar balloon was launched shortly after midnight, knocking out power to thousands of electricity customers around town. The power outage was confusing to many as the nation and world were, at the time, concerned about Y2K issues. The incident generated plenty of conversation around the water cooler during the days that followed.
