We have a ton of events going on today in our beloved capital city, with the June wine walk, the first day of the farmer’s market, a brew fest at Fuji park, and more! With a high of 75, it’s shaping up to finally start to feel like summer (knock on wood).
Woofs, Wine and Whiskers, a purr-fect evening

Attorney Amber Handy received the 2019 Young Lawyer of the Year Award, which recognizes the professional and public service achievements of Nevada attorneys either under the age of 36 or those engaged in the practice of law for fewer than five years.

Update: Candidate for Carson City Library Director declines offer
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Fri, 05/31/2019 - 1:32pmUPDATE: According to the Carson City Library trustees, Cyndi O declined the job offer Friday. The trustees will meet to discuss the additional candidates and will make a decision soon regarding the position.
The Carson City Library trustees determined during the board meeting Thursday evening to offer the position of library director to Cyndi O.
“Cyndi recognizes we are a unique library,” said trustee Phyllis Patton. “We are a library that is a role model in Nevada, and we’ve been recognized nationally. She knows that and would be able to get in there and start right away.”
Carson Football Wraps Up Spring Football Practice

It was a positive showing for the Senators as Quarterback Will Breeding threw four touchdowns to four different receivers.
Annual Special Olympics Nevada Summer Games held this weekend in Reno

NDOT Announces single lane closures on Kingsbury Grade beginning June 3
