May 12, 2018 (All day) On Saturday, May 12, your Carson City area letter carrier will be doing more than just delivering letters and packages. They will be collecting food as part of the national Stamp Out Hunger Food drive.
Westbound lane of Highway 50 Spooner temporarily closed due to vehicle fire

May 7, 2018 - 11:30am Vance Alm, a primary care physician and contender for the Democratic nomination in Congressional District 2, will be the featured speaker at Monday's Democratic luncheon. Sponsored by the Democratic Men's Committee, these fundraisers help defer expenses at Carson's Democratic HQ. This event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Monday, May 7th at Carson City's Round Table Pizza, 3325 Retail Drive, just off of College Parkway in the Walmart retail complex. All are welcome. Carson City area weather: Cool temperatures then warmup beginning midweek

Sweater weather will continue around the Carson City region through Tuesday, with daytime temperatures in the upper 50s, according to the National Weather Service. A gradual warmup begins Wednesday, with high temperatures in the 60s and then 70s Thursday through Sunday.
Carson City deputies make felony arrests for battery, home invasion

A 26-year-old man was arrested Saturday for felony suspicion of battery with a deadly weapon, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
