Carson City Sheriff’s Office hosts 16th annual ‘Extreme Motor Officer Training Challenge’ at Mills Park

The training event was open to current certified motor officers and the public for spectating. Motor officers were training, riding and discussing riding techniques with various motor instructors.

The annual Battle of The Badges takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Ormsby Room of the Carson City Sheriff's Office Administration building, 911 East Musser.

The following is from the Sheriff's Office: Due to anticipated cold, wet, windy weather conditions Carson City Sheriff’s Office regrets to inform the community of the cancellation of the Cops and Kids Safe Streets Party which was scheduled for Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. According to the National Weather Service a slight chance of showers and potential for wind is predicted. Unfavorable weather conditions may cause significant disruption in the planned outdoor activities. The event cannot be relocated indoors as accommodations are limited. Valley side of Kingsbury Grade to close Wednesday morning as part of shooting investigation
