Carson City arrests: Man jailed for domestic battery second offense
A 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday for gross misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery second offense, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.
According to the arrest report, a citizen called Carson City sheriff's dispatch and advised of a vehicle parked in front of restaurant on Stewart Street and a struggle between a male and female inside the vehicle.
The suspect had fled by the time officers arrived. Deputies spoke with the victim who she and her boyfriend of two years got into an argument over him using methamphetamine and she wanting him to get help. The victim said the man grabbed her by the fingers to grab the wheel of the car, pushed his elbow and dug into her chest, forcing her to slam on the brakes.
Deputies could see swelling and bruising on her right hand.
The man was located nearby and appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamine. He denied any argument happened. The deputy arrested him for suspicion of domestic battery due to the witness account of the altercation and the victim's story. Dispatch advised the man had a prior conviction of domestic battery. Bail: $5,000.
— A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday in the 1600 block of Medical Parkway for misdemeanor assault, threats, destruction of property and being an ex-felon failing to register.
According to the arrest report, the man spit at security, punched holes in walls, and made violent gestures. A check of his last known address shows that he no longer lived at the address. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of being an ex-felon failing to register. Bail: $4,123.
— A 31-year-old Stateline, Nev., man was arrested early Wednesday morning in the area of Fifth and Allouette streets for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant. Bail: $855.
