Carson City fire crews respond to structure fire on TiAmo sign at Casino Fandango

UPDATE: 10:46AM: Carson City fire officials report that the flames on the roof just above the TiAmo sign have been knocked down and the fire alarm turned off.
Building occupants are being let back inside. The fire department is still on scene investigating the fire's cause.

The Carson City Fire Department has been dispatched to Casino Fandango, 3800 S. Carson Street, for a structure fire visible next to the TiAmo sign on the north side of the building.

The business has been evacuated while firefighters address the fire.

Fire damages mobile home Friday night in East Carson City

Friday at 11:37 p.m. the Carson City Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 7200 block of U.S. Highway 50 East.

When firefighters arrived, they were faced with a double wide residential trailer that was fully engulfed with flames. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

Carson City Fire Department called to structure fire at Elm Street residence

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called early Monday morning to a structure fire at 1034 Elm Street on the west side of town.

Carson City firefighters save dog in second floor fire at St. Charles

UPDATE 4:50PM: Jim Phalan, owner of The Fox Brewpub, said they are now back open for business. He said the sprinklers from the second story flooded the brewery and parts of the walk-in refrigeration, and they had to throw away a lot of food. They also lost most of their lunch business for the day.

"I am sure there is ceiling damages, I just do not know how much at this point," Phalan said. "But we didn't lose any beer."

He also thanked the first responders for saving the dog and the hotel. "Who knows how much worse it could have been," he said.

On Tuesday afternoon at 12:16 p.m., Carson City Fire units were dispatched to a structure fire at 310 S. Carson Street, the St. Charles Residential Hotel.

UPDATE 1:07PM: South Carson Street is now open. All other side streets are now open. The cause is under investigation.

UPDATE 1:02PM: A dog was revived after being found unconscious and rescued after suffering smoke inhalation and was taken to a veterinarian hospital due to a small fire at St. Charles Hotel, said Carson City Fire Chief Sean Slamon. The fire was contained to one room and was quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Tuesday afternoon to a smoke inside the attic area of an RV dealership and repair shop in the 3600 block of Highway 50 East.

Carson City emergency crews respond to oil spill at Saliman and Robinson

Carson City Firefighters and Sheriff's deputies are on scene of a reported motor oil spill in the roadway at the intersection of North Saliman Road and East Robinson Street near Carson High School.

Crews on scene report three five-gallon jugs of oil were in the roadway.

The city is also responding with copious amounts of sand and a street sweeper to clean up the spill.

Motorists should avoid the area until the spill is cleaned up.

UPDATE: The fire was knocked down at around 8:10 p.m. The cause remains under investigation.

UPDATE 6:15 PM: Firefighters were unable to find the source of any fire and have begun to pull resources off of it, said Carson City Fire Chief Sean Slamon. Those who were evacuated from the building are now allowed to go back inside.

Carson City Fire Department: Brush fire at Duck Hill knocked down, started by Raven helicopter hitting power line

UPDATE: 5:15PM: The brush fire off Duck Hill Road was last reported at five acres, according to KRNV News 4 in Reno, before fire crews knocked down the flames and prevented the blaze from reaching any structures. Firefighters are now in mop-up stage.
