The reporting party stated the vehicle struck the motorcycle at a low rate of speed, and the motorcycle hit the vehicle in front of them.
Use caution in the area.
Tumbleweeds once again wreak havoc in West Carson, residents say, and a nearby ranch is to blame

Single vehicle crash reported near Goni and Arrowhead

Drivers should use caution in the area. Responders are enroute.
Responders called to vehicle crash with injury in Olive Garden parking lot

One woman is reported to be pregnant and an ambulance was called to respond for medical clearance.
Motorists should avoid the area or use caution at present.
Bear looking for food shows up on Carson City's west side; NDOW to release back into wild

With recent bear sightings around Carson City, including Tuesday morning off of Minnesota Street, it is a sure sign that fall has set in as the capital city area is seeing increased bear foraging activity, according to wildlife officials.
Responders called to traffic accident at Highway 50 E. and Deer Run Road

Two vehicles were reported to be involved, with one injury as of 2:21 p.m.
Motorists should use caution in the area.
Saliman and Robinson: Is this Carson City's worst intersection?

However, in the thirty minutes before Carson High School classes begin, and the thirty minutes after school lets out, it is one of the most frustrating intersections in the capital city.
There are nine lanes of traffic that have to navigate the four-way stop signs at this intersection, plus the hundreds of students using all four crosswalks.
On Thursday afternoon, ten minutes prior to school letting out at 2 p.m. and ending at 2:20 p.m., I observed the following:

The entire Lake Tahoe Basin is in the midst of a massive swarm of the winged beauties, especially in the Angora Fire burn area and along the east shore.
First responders called to multiple car pile up on Highway 50
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Fri, 08/02/2019 - 3:25pmCarson City deputies and first responders were called to the intersection of Highway 50 and 395 at around 3:15 p.m. on Friday afternoon after witnesses state a vehicle ran a ted light, causing a vehicle collision of four or more vehicles.
The east bound lane has been closed and drivers should use caution in the area.
There are no injuries reported at this time, though deputies advised there appeared to be significant damage at the scene.

Forest Service continues effort to eliminate invasive plant populations from Lake Tahoe Basin

Work will take place at approximately 90 infestations sites (105 acres) beginning in late May and continuing through September 2019.

California is looking into changing fishing seasons on many lakes and streams. Some areas may be open all year round and possibly change restrictions on others. Since Topaz is a bi-state body of water, the opening day ceremony that so many have come to love and look forward to on January 1st of each year may be a thing of the past.
Three horses test positive for equine herpes virus; Nevada veterinarian recommends against travel, competing

One horse was from California, and the second was from Clark County and is under quarantine order by State Veterinarian JJ Goicoechea.
