Carson City weather: Clear and sunny with frigid temperatures through the weekend
Overnight rain around Carson City has turned to sunshine, with dry conditions and very cold temperatures expected through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
For Carson City, Carson Valley and Dayton areas, there’s a slight chance of scattered snow showers Friday, with high temperatures in the upper 30s and a nighttime low in the low teens.
Saturday will bring clear and crisp conditions, with highs in the low 30s and overnight lows in the upper single digits. Sunday will again bring cold temperatures, with a daytime high around 31 and nighttime low in the lower teens.
If you’re headed to Lake Tahoe for some skiing and snowboarding, expect blue bird conditions and cold temperatures, with sunny skies. Daytime highs this weekend will be near 30 and nighttime lows to the upper single digits to lower teens.
From mid to late next week, fast moving weather systems may bring periods of rain and snow to the region.
