Life More Natural and Moment Skis present the premiere of 'Level 1’s Eye Trip' at Fox and Hound
On Friday, Dec. 17th Fox and Hound will host Moment Skis and Life More Natural for the premiere of Level 1’s Eye Trip, a worldwide documentation of ski action as you’ve never seen it presented before. Skiing’s counterculture continues to buck the trends of what’s come before them. In addition, the night serves as a benefit for LMN’s Tahoe to Tanzania solar project for Reno/Tahoe youth. Time to get hyped for the season in South Lake Tahoe!
Follow the Level 1 crew as they experiment with one of the largest gap jumps ever built in Sun Valley, Idaho, hit a record snowfall in Helsinki, Finland, and harvest the vast resources of Alaska… or perhaps it’s all just a lucid dream? Wake up, because Level 1 will take you on the visual trip of a lifetime. Come along for the ride!
Moment Skis, a quickly growing ski company based in Reno, will be on hand with their line of 16 handmade skis to feed the stoke for the coming winter. A ski company made up of skiers, Moment designs, presses, and tests all of their skis in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Range. They’ll also be introducing their new line of Moment Outerwear. Moment is a long time sponsor and supporter of Life More Natural and their programs.
Fox and Hound is proudly hosting the event and will be donating 10 percent of the night’s proceeds back to Life More Natural, a local sustainability nonprofit organization. Life More Natural’s vision is to ensure a sustainable future through life changing service learning projects and by rewarding volunteerism that improves communities and the environment. Fox and Hound is located at 237 Tramway. Click here for directions.
In 2011 LMN will be collaborating with local businesses and nonprofit organizations to engage 10 Reno/Tahoe highschool students in a service learning project to install a solar power system at local school. During the winter of 2012, Life More Natural will take those 10 students to Tanzania to help with a similar solar installation at a rural school and open their eyes to the importance of service, the value of sustainability, and the beauty of wild places.
LMN will also be on hand signing people up for it’s Action Rewards volunteer program. Designed to reward volunteerism with local environmentally focused nonprofit organizations, Action Rewards is a way for people to earn free lift tickets to local ski resorts like Kirkwood simply for getting out and improving their community.
