Nevada Humane Society's 'Home 4 the Holidays' drive aims to find homes for 1,000 pets
Nevada Humane Society is asking for your help in finding homes for 1,000 dogs and cats during the Home 4 the Holidays Pet Adoption Drive, from Nov. 23 through Dec. 31.
“With thousands of homeless pets in Nevada and millions across the country, it’s important everyone get involved to help save a life this holiday season,” said Greg Hall, CEO for Nevada Humane Society. “Our team can help families choose just the right pet for their personalities and lifestyles. Our mission is to find loving homes for the pets here at our shelters so they can all experience happy new lives.”
All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped -- services that normally cost over $240. There are also a variety of small animals available for adoption, including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats and more.
Most Adult Dogs: $50
Adult Cats Under the Age of Five: $25
Adult Cats Over the Age of Five: FREE
Kittens $60
Puppies $200 ($100 rebate offered with a certificate of completion for a puppy training class)
Home 4 the Holidays is a nationwide pet adoption drive which began in 1999. It was created to move animals out of shelters and into good homes during a season of giving and love. Since its inception over 14 million pets have gone home. This year, Nevada Humane Society joins over 4,000 organizations who are coming together to find homes for homeless pets.
Nevada Humane Society is open for adoptions seven days a week at two locations (except for Thanksgiving and Christmas) from 11am to 6:30pm and an hour earlier at 10am on Saturday. For pet adoptions in Reno, visit 2825 Longley Lane. For pet adoptions in Carson City, visit 549 Airport Road. For more information, visit www.NevadaHumaneSociety.org or call 775-856-2000.
