Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Ex-felon found with meth
A 38 year-old Carson City man was arrested early Saturday morning at 1:35 a.m. in the 1800 block of N. Carson Street for misdemeanor ex-felon failing to register, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported, and later was found in felony possession of methamphetamine.
Jacob Lynn Fearn was taken into custody following a stop by a Sheriff's deputy, who conducted a records check through Carson City Dispatch. Fearn was confirmed an ex-felon out of California and did not have a registered local address.
Fearn stated that he had been residing in Carson City for a couple of months, but he claimed not to know the name of the apartments or unit number in which he lived. He was detained in handcuffs at that point and searched for weapons.
During the pat-down search, a glass smoking pipe with a white substance and burn marks in it was found inside a rear jean pocket. The substance was suspected to be methamphetamine.
Fearn was transported to the Carson City Jail and during the booking process, another search recovered a second glass pipe containing white residue in a jacket pocket. His criminal history showed a number of criminal convictions, including felony possession of a controlled substance, burglary, stalking, stolen vehicle possession, and fraud. He also committed multiple parole violations. Bail: $3,879.
In other arrests:
— A 37 year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday afternoon at 2:02 p.m. in the 1900 block of N. Carson Street on an outstanding misdemeanor contempt of court warrant by the Carson City Justice Court, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.
According to the arrest report, a traffic stop was conducted on a red Lexus that had failed to yield the right-of-way at a flashing yellow light. Contact was made with the driver, who was identified. A records check through Carson City Dispatch showed a confirmed active bench for the suspect, who was then detained in handcuffs.
He was transported to the Carson City Jail and booked without incident. Bail: $500.
— A 27 year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday evening at 5:54 p.m. in the 3400 block of Airport Road on a misdemeanor outstanding contempt of court bench warrant issued by the Carson City Justice Court, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.
According to the arrest report, Sheriff's deputies were conducting a warrant service at a residence and made contact with the suspect. He was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $232.
