Lara Mather to feature Historic Fourth Ward School Museum at Gold Hill lecture
VIRGINIA CITY — Lara Mather, Executive Director of the Historic Fourth Ward School Museum, will offer a program on the history, restoration, exhibits and archives at the museum, as part of the Gold Hill Hotel’s Friday Night Showcase at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4. The Historic Fourth Ward School Museum is a crown jewel on the Comstock.
The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. Dinner is from 4-8 p.m. at the Crown Point Restaurant at the Gold Hill Hotel.
The cost is $25 for the dinner and lecture and $10 for the lecture only. Reservations are recommended but not required.
The Gold Hill Hotel, the oldest hotel in Nevada, and its renowned Crown Point Restaurant, are located at 1540 Main Street, Gold Hill, just one mile south of Virginia City on SR 342.
