Dogs take a dip during CASI Pooch Plunge in Carson City
Dogs made a big splash Saturday morning during the annual Carson Animal Services Initiative (CASI) Pooch Plunge in the outdoor pool at the Carson City Aquatics Facility in Carson City.
The five-hour extravaganza, held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., featured furry friends of all sizes, breeds, and colors.
Canines dove into the glistening pool waters, chasing floating tennis balls and chew toys launched by their owners.
Dogs also dried off on the pavement, or were rubbed down by soft towels before jumping right back in.
Sandy Osheroff, co-coordinator of the Pooch Plunge, described the overall success of the event.
“It is absolutely unbelievable,” she said. “It is so rewarding to see all these animals have such a good time and really enjoy themselves in the pool. The owners are having fun too, but the dogs are all sociable and respect each-other while having a great time.”
