Carson City woman arrested for possession of ‘homemade metal knuckles,’ misuse of 911 after making 12 false reports
A 30-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Thursday in the area of College Parkway after she allegedly called 911 stating she heard a domestic battery in progress on Long Street, despite the fact she was nowhere near the area at the time of the call.
According to the report, the woman is well known to dispatch due to her calling several times and making false reports, and deputies were familiar with her after investigating a similar problem the previous week and attempting to locate her regarding her misuse of 911.
Dispatch provided deputies with copies of twelve different calls for service made by the woman between May and August of 2021.
Deputies responded to the area and detained her.
According to the report, she said “she did not know why she was being arrested because she was the one who got hit in the face,” although she reported to dispatch she had heard a domestic between a male and a female.
Deputies searched her belongings and located a pair of homemade grey metal knuckles and a 4 oz. can of pepper spray in her purse. She stated she was unaware knuckles were illegal in Nevada.
Deputies arrested the woman for possession of a dangerous weapon and misuse of 911 and transported her to the jail without incident.
Bail: $5,000
