Three jailed in connection with robbery near Carson City water tank
Three are in custody in connection to a robbery that happened Tuesday in the Goni Road area, a Carson City Sheriff's Office captain said.
Arrested are Dason Valdez, 31, for suspicion of robbery, obstructing and four misdemeanor warrants. Kimberly Wager, 35, for suspicion of felony robbery and Steve Skipworth, 33, for a state probation violation matter unrelated to the robbery. The case remains under investigation.
On Tuesday, August 15 at around 10:45 p.m. Carson City Sheriff’s Office patrol division responded to a report of a robbery near the water tank in the 3000 block of Goni Road.
Once deputies arrived they met with the victim who said two males robbed him after he arrived there to meet with a friend, said Capt. Brian Humphrey.
Detectives met with the victim again and discovered he had been lured to the location by a female with the promise of sex. The investigation led detectives to contact two suspects Thursday morning in the 1300 block of East Long Street in Carson City.
Three subjects were arrested at the location after a brief struggle with one of the robbery suspects.
The investigation continues with additional charges potentially to be added along with additional arrests of other suspects. Anyone with information related to the case can contact Detective Sam Hatley 775-283-7852 or Captain Brian Humphrey 775-283-7850.
