Rollover reported Monday in Goni Canyon determined to be incident previously investigated
Carson City fire department and sheriff's deputies were called Monday morning to the area of Goni Canyon for a vehicle rollover, which turned out to be a vehicle that had been in the canyon for quite a while and had already been investigated.
Just after 7 a.m. a person called dispatch to report seeing vehicle in the canyon area and reported hearing a cell phone ringing but didn't see any movement.
Emergency personnel made their way up the canyon, around a mile past the residential area and located the vehicle, which turned out to be a single vehicle from a rollover that had already bee previously been investigated some time ago.
On Saturday afternoon, Carson City sheriff's deputies and the fire department were called to motor vehicle that went over an embankment in Brunswick Canyon and into the river. In that incident, no one was found after a search of the area. Subjects were reportedly seen on the ridge from which the vehicle went over the embankment at the time of the incident.
