Carson City man arrested for aggravated stalking warrant after being released from jail
A Carson City man was arrested for a felony warrant of aggravated stalking Wednesday evening, a sheriff's deputy said.
Randy Lee Barao, 38, had just been released from jail when deputies arrived to serve him a warrant of arrest. He was upset, as he had just been released and did not want to return, but he was cooperative, the arrest report states. Bail: $50,000.
In other arrests:
— A Sun Valley man is facing charges of felony escape and gross misdemeanor damage to prison or jail property after he allegedly attempted to escape from the Carson City jail on June 19, 2018.
Gregory Maine was arrested on the additional charges Wednesday afternoon, and is being held on a $40,000 bail.
— A 27-year-old transient Carson City man was arrested for contempt of court after failing to pay fines to the Walker River township court, according to the booking report.
He was being transferred to an inpatient program from the Carson City jail when deputies realized he had an outstanding warrant. Bail: $522.
— A 52-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday morning for embezzlement, a misdemeanor, according to the arrest report.
Deputies were notified when the man came into the Civil Division office, and said he had a warrant for the East Fork Justice Court of Douglas County alleging embezzlement, and he was taken into custody. Bail: $1,000.
