Eyes On Carson: Empty Bowls painting at the Farmer's Market
Visitors sat down at the Empty Bowls booth Saturday morning during the Third and Curry Farmer's Market to paint blank, unfired ceramic bowls for charity.
More than 500 bowls need to be decorated for this year’s Empty Bowls Project charity drive, which culminates with the Silver and Snowflake Tree Lighting event in early December.
Fifty of the blank, unfired bowls were brought to Saturday's Farmers Market for painting.
Decorated bowls are later fired and finished, ready to be used to fight hunger in the community.
The bowl decorating activity is open to all ages and abilities. Empty Bowls is maintaining a decorating booth each Saturday at the Farmer's Market through the summer.
