Carson City man arrested on warrants after allegedly breaking into a local arts center
A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested on two failure to misdemeanor appear warrants after allegedly entering a local arts center while it was closed, a sheriff's deputy said.
According to the report, deputies were dispatched to the arts center after someone called stating there were two men who had entered the building, which was closed to the public and there were no employees inside.
While en route, Sheriff Ken Furlong stopped two men at 3rd and Division Street, two blocks south of the arts center. The two men matched the description given by the reporting party.
The first man came back clear of wants or warrants, but the second came back with two active warrants for his arrest. The two warrants were issued on July 10 for failure to appear. He was taken into custody and the two men were formally trespassed from the arts center. Bail: $6,000 cash only.
— A 28-year-old Reno man was arrested at Carson Tahoe Hospital for a probation violation early Saturday morning.
Deputies were dispatched to the hospital to assist with transporting a man on a Legal 2000 to the Mallory Center. Prior to arrival, dispatch advised the man had a confirmed warrant from parole and probation.
He was taken into custody without incident and was being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
