Classic Car Show and Shine today at Smith's in Carson City
An amazing array of chrome-fitted hot-rods and old school classic cars are featured today at Smith's on William Street in Carson City.
Car buffs and families are welcome to today's Capital Classic Show & Shine at Smith's. It's a free event for car watchers, with a small fee for those who wish to enter cars in the show. The event features music, food, and lots of vintage cars and shiny chrome engines.
The Show & Shine car show features mostly locally-owned classic cars and trucks, with each owner having their own particular story to share on the history of their car, even down to the assembly-line number. If you have questions about cars built from the 1940s on, the Show & Shine is the perfect place to get some answers. There's even one classic car built in 1912.
There are 101 cars signed in at the show and four motorcycles, said Capital Classic Productions organizer Bryan McGill.
"The turnout has been awesome. It's really nice to have all these different classes of cars here in one place.
If you've got a classic bring it on down to Smith's Food and Drug, 599 East William in Carson City. The show last through 3 p.m. today.
