Authorities investigate two robberies at gunpoint and shots fired
Carson City authorities are investigating two robberies where the victims were held at gunpoint and a separate report of a gunshot fired at a person near Camp N Town — all of which happened within a span of about 20 minutes late Saturday night.
At about 11:30 p.m. authorities responded to a report of a robbery in the area of Roop and College Parkway where the victim, a pedestrian, said they were robbed at gunpoint by a male suspect of miscellaneous items, reports Carson City Sheriff's Sgt. Brian Humphrey.
Then at about 11:40 p.m. authorities responded to a second reported robbery, this time in the 1800 block of North Peters Street. The victim in this case, also a pedestrian, said they were robbed of miscellaneous items at gunpoint by three male suspects. And at about 11:48 p.m. there was a report of a gunshot fired in the vicinity of Camp N Town, in the 2400 block of North Carson Street. In this case, there was a report of one gunshot fired and a male chasing another person with a gun, Humphrey said.
The cases remained under investigation early this morning and it remains undetermined whether any of the incidents are related, said Sgt. Humphrey. No injuries were reported.
