Annual Carson City St. Paddy’s festivities at The Fox change due to virus outbreak
St. Patrick’s Day has always been a big to-do at The Fox Brewpub in Carson City, but this year will be somewhat different due to COVID-19.
St. Patty’s has traditionally meant a big feast of corned beef and cabbage, Irish stew, Green Beer, live music and bag pipers.
This year, due to COVID-19, the music and entertainment has been cancelled but the food is still cooking. The event raises money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation for Pediatric Cancer, and the Fox opens at 11 a.m.
In response to the health concerns, they are promoting delivery and carry-out for their traditional corned beef and cabbage, Irish lamb stew with soda bread.
“Our staff assures you, that we are taking the initiative and extra steps with hygiene and cleanliness,” the Fox said in a public announcement. “We respect our community and are moving forward with the extra precautions regarding the COVID-19 virus. The Fox looks forward to serving you and enjoying our food and drinks.”
Delivery options through Menufy.com and GrubHub.com are available, according to the Fox.
