Three men were arrested Sunday at South Shore following a strong arm robbery that happened in Roseville, Calif., in which a victim had been beaten and robbed of $30,000 while responding to a Craigslist ad, South Lake Tahoe police said.
The victim told police he was robbed by the three suspects — now identified as Jeremy Wood, Dylan Sapsford and Eric Anderson — on Saturday when he was responding to a Craigslist advertisement for the purchase of a car, said South Lake Tahoe Police Sgt. Travis Cabral.
During the investigation, Roseville Police received information the suspects were in the South Lake Tahoe area.
On Sunday the South Lake Tahoe Police Department identified the three suspects involved with assistance from Roseville Police Department and Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.
One of the suspects, Jeremy Wood, was employed as a security guard at Lakeside Casino and was arrested on site and without incident. Further investigation lead another SLTPD officer to locate the vehicle identified in the robbery, driving toward the casino area on Lake Tahoe Bouleveard. A traffic stop was performed on the vehicle, where another suspect, Dylan Sapsford, was arrested.
The third suspect, Eric Anderson, was arrested as a result of a search warrant on his residence. In addition to the robbery charges Anderson was also charged with cultivation of marijuana. A substantial amount of cash was recovered.
