EVENT CANCELED: Centennial Park cleanup in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service
UPDATE MONDAY: The MLK Jr. Clean-up at Centennial will be cancelled today due to muddy conditions at the site from the rain and snow we received Sunday and overnight.
****
Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space staff will be out at lower Centennial Park cleaning up a dumpsite. Join in on the cleanup Monday, Jan. 21 from 1 to 2 p.m. to pick up trash on this upcoming National Day of Service.
We will be walking along a muddy pathway. Please dress in layers and be prepared to get muddy. The Volunteer Coordinator will provide gloves, trash bags and litter grabbers.
Location: John D. Winters Centennial Park. Northeast Carson City on Centennial Park Drive and Heritage Way.
Parking: Please park at the golf course parking lot. The parking area near the trail may be too muddy for cars to park on.
