All That Jazz: Nevada thumps Boise State to go 3-0 in MW
Nevada played to the tune of senior guard Jazz Johnson in a 83-66 victory over Boise State on Saturday at Lawlor Events Center in Reno.
Johnson poured in a Nevada career-high 34 points on 8-of-12 shooting from 3-point range. He totaled 21 points in the first half and erupted the rowdy Lawlor crowd with each made basket from beyond the arc.
Both teams traded offensive blows with one another throughout the contest. But the Wolf Pack pulled away late with efficient perimeter shooting and stifling defense in the second half. Nevada improved to 10-5 overall and 3-0 in conference.
