Carson City Library hosts Virtual Program: Hour Of Code

The Lyon County School District is celebrating graduation this week through a series of ceremonies Thursday in Dayton and Silver Springs, Friday in Smith Valley and Fernley and Saturday in Yerington.

Out of an abundance of caution for public safety, Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve has issued citywide curfews beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 2. The curfew will be in effect nightly from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning and will continue until terminated by Mayor Schieve.

UPDATE 8:22AM: A Carson City Fire Department battalion chief reports the fire was knocked down at around 8:10 a.m. The cause is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
