Residents woke to a mix of rain, sleet and snow Saturday morning throughout the valleys, and wet conditions should continue through the holiday weekend.
Carson City
As of 11 a.m., the humidity in Carson City is at 89 percent, with 37 degrees keeping things just above freezing. The high today will be 45 degrees with a good amount of wind; gusts will be as high as 45 mph, but should average around 20 to 25 mph.
Tonight, the low will dip to 23 degrees and the wind will calm after midnight.
For Sunday, the National Weather Service is expecting a partly sunny day with a bit of a breeze, hovering around 5 mph. Sunday nighttime lows will dip to 34 degrees.
On Monday, there’s a 40 percent chance of rain mainly before 4 p.m., and snow will accumulate at 6,700 feet and over in the mountains. The day will be mostly cloudy with a high nearing 51 degrees. The day will be a bit windy, with winds coming from the west at 10 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Monday night there is a ten percent chance before 10 p.m., and snow will accumulate at 5,500 feet and lowering to 4,800 feet after midnight. The night will be partly cloudy with a low around 28 degrees and winds around 10 mph.
Dayton
Today, there is a chance of rain before 1 p.m. then a slight chance of rain ands now. Snow level at 5,200 feet lowering to 4,600 feet. The day will be mostly sunny with a high near 47 degrees. There will be a good bit of wind, with winds coming from the west at 25 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph.
Tonight, it will be mostly cloudy with a low around 25 mph.
On Sunday, it’s expected to be partly sunny with a high near 46 degrees and a nighttime low of 35 degrees.
On Monday, there is a 30 percent chance of rain. Snow level at 6,700 feet and partly sunny, with a high near 52 degrees. A bit of wind at 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
On Monday night, the low will be 29 degrees with a wind coming from the west at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Gardnerville
Today, there is a chance of rain and snow all day, mostly sunny with a high near 44 degrees. The day will be windy with winds from the west blowing between 25 and 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph.
Tonight, the low will dip to 18 mph with a calm breeze around 5 mph.
On Sunday, it will be partly sunny with a high near 46 and a nighttime low of 30 degrees.
On Monday, there is a 40 percent chance of rain, mainly before 4 p.m. Snow will accumulate at 6,800 feet and above. The high will be around 50 degrees, and on Monday night, there is a 20 percent chance of rain before 10 p.m. Snow levels at 5,700 feet lowering to 4,800 feet after midnight.
South Lake Tahoe
Snow is likely, mainly before 1 p.m. The day should be mostly sunny with a high near 37 degrees. A bit of wind will come from the south at 15 to 25 mph and as high as 40 mph. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is possible.
Tonight, the low will be 16 degrees.
On Sunday, it will be partly sunny with a high near 40 degrees and Sunday night there will be a chance of rain and snow, mainly after 4 a.m. The nighttime low will be around 27 degrees and new snow accumulation of less than half an inch is possible.
On Monday, there is a chance of snow and rain before 10 a.m., and rain is likely between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., then a chance of rain and snow after 4 p.m. Snow levels at 6,800 feet. The high will be 42 degrees with wind at 10 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Washoe Valley
In Washoe Valley, there is a chance of rain and snow before 1 p.m. today, followed by a slight chance of snow. The day will be mostly sunny with a high near 44 degrees. It will be a windy day, with winds coming from the northwest around 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.
Nighttime lows for Saturday will dip to 26 with winds between 10 and 20 mph.
On Sunday, the forecast is partly sunny with a high near 45 degrees and a 5 mph breezy wind.
