Update 9:15 p.m.: According to responders on scene, the fire was caused by a swamp cooler that ignited. The fire was knocked down, but “significant” ventilation is needed to clear the residual smoke.

Responders will likely be on scene for some time while tackling ventilation.


Original: Just before 9 p.m. a structure fire was reported in the 3600 block of Arrowhead Drive in Carson City.

Multiple units are currently en route to the scene.

Avoid the area while responders are on site.
