The 2025 Nevada Day Parade concluded Saturday afternoon with more than 230 entries making their way through downtown Carson City. Festivities continue throughout the day, with events at McFadden Plaza on Third Street and vendors along Curry Street, both sides of Carson Street and at Carson Mall.
At exactly 10 a.m. A large American Flag was unfurled on Carson Street to launch the parade. While Nevada Day has traditionally opened with an F16 Falcon or F/A-18 Hornet military flyovers from Naval Air Station Fallon, there was no such jet flyover this year. There was, however, a large helicopter with a flag that flew over the parade route within the first half hour of the parade. We aren’t sure where it came from but it certainly captured everyone’s attention.
We are uploading photos of the day’s parade and events. Here’s a few photos so far from the parade and a video of the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree, Silver Belle, along the parade route. Check back for more later.
