Fighters Against Child Abuse, a self-funded state of Nevada nonprofit, has put together a team of foot soldiers, to start spreading awareness and prevention across northern Nevada. This team shares information regarding stats in our area and proper reporting methods at local events from Reno to Virginia City to Douglas County and everywhere in between.
Although they have a Facebook page with 62,000 followers they believe the only way to truly help abuse children in our area is to take it to the streets. The thought process is child abuse doesn’t get to hide any longer.
This subject needs to be out in the open every single day, so we could truly make a difference in the lives of abuse, children, and provide the resources for adults who are frustrated or angry to gain control of their emotions and not take it out on their children at home.
