A Gardnerville man was booked Tuesday on a misdemeanor battery warrant, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

The warrant was issued out of Carson City Justice Court and has a $5,000 cash bail. The man is in jail on alleged drug and battery offenses when he was served the misdemeanor warrant.

In other arrests:
A 23-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for driving with a suspended license. According to the booking report, a sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop after observing a sedan failing to maintain its lane.

The officer made contact with the driver and told him the reason for the traffic stop. During the stop, dispatch advised the man’s registration was expired and released effective August 22. The man was able to provide a valid temporary moving permit, the report states.

The man was asked for his license, registration and proof of insurance. The man said he had insurance on the vehicle, but that his license was suspended.

The officer conducted a check and dispatch advised his license was suspended effective July 7, 2024 with no end date for failure to appear. The man told the deputy he was recently arrested for driving with a suspended license and provided the officer with his court documentation. Bail: $500.
