Breezy conditions Saturday will change overnight, becoming quite blustery. The potential for damaging winds is expected to arrive early Sunday in Lyon County, as well as in Carson City, Douglas, Storey and Washoe counties, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a High Wind Warning for the region.
The warning is from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Forecasters say southwest winds will be 25 to 40 mph gusting to 70 mph. Gusts more than 100 mph are expected for the Sierra ridges.
