Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies responded Saturday evening to a call of a possible brush fire in the 600 block of Hot Springs Road, which turned out to be mylar balloons found on power lines. There was no fire spread.
Reported at around 7:15 p.m., dispatch advised that a telephone or power pole was on fire and that it was close to brush and homes.
Multiple fire engines responded and a battalion chief advised that debris was extinguished. NV Energy is responding.
