With the holidays winding down, now is the time to consider what to do with the Christmas tree.
Trees can be recycled at no additional cost as part of curbside collection in Carson City on regular trash days through Jan. 17.
If trees are taller than 6 feet, Carson City Public Works advises people to cut into sections no longer than 6 feet. All decorations, lights, tinsel and bases must be removed.
Trees can also be dropped off in marked locations at 5560 Sheep Drive and Airport Road between Butti Way and East 5th.
