Carson City Fire Department, sheriff’s deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol responded late Saturday morning to a motorcycle accident on US-50 West, two miles up from the bottom of the valley side Spooner junction.
Called into dispatch just before noon, the accident reportedly involves a motorcycle rider who crashed into a guard rail and was injured.
Carson City Fire Department personnel on scene are treating the rider and will take the them via ambulance to the hospital. A second patient was also being treated for a breathing problem or possible asthma attack.
Eastbound traffic in the area of the accident is being diverted. Motorists can expect delays.
