CHS girls’ tennis qualified for postseason play on Thursday with a home win (10-8) over Reed high school on senior night. This marks the 3rd consecutive year the girls’ tennis program has qualified for postseason play.

“This one is extra special for us since we started 0-2 and battled through some key injuries, but we finished the last eight games strong going 5-3” said head coach Paul Maguire.

Leading the way for the Lady Senators was Co-Captain and Senior Lily Maguire, who went 19-10 in singles play on the season including going 3-0 in the win against Reed. On the Doubles side the teams of Abby Wolz (Co-Captain)/Natalia Armstrong, Jasmin Navarro/Johanna Neill and Lizzy Barker/Anna Parussimova all had between 13 and 14 wins on the season. Other players adding key wins during the season were Lainey Miller, Rozzy Clark, Grace Syndergaard and Beatrice Wacker.

The CHS girls’ tennis team will play Monday at 2PM against Douglas High School at Douglas.
