UPDATE: Both Nevada Seismological Lab and USGS have upgraded and downgraded multiple times since the Wednesday morning event in Lyon County. The earthquake magnitude is 3.8, according to their websites. Also, a smaller, 2.81 quake was reported in the same area at 11:31 a.m., according to NSL.

The earthquake happened at 10:46 a.m. Wednesday northeast of Yerington, according to Nevada Seismological Lab. USGS reports the magnitude at 3.8, having downgraded from 4.0.

The quake happened 13.7 miles north northeast of Yerington.

A smaller quake was reported earlier in the region at 6:21 a.m.

No word yet on any damage or injuries, but reports are it was felt throughout the region.
