A 32-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for gross misdemeanor violation of a protection order after he was found inside his father’s home intoxicated and on a couch with a remote control, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Deputies responded to the 1600 block of East Long Street for a court order violation. Deputies met with the reporting party and victim who stated his son was inside his home on the couch and that he had a protection order against his son.
The deputy asked if he had invited his son inside. The father stated no and said he went to the store and when he came back, his son was inside the home, the report states.
The deputy confirmed through dispatch that the warrant was served and was active from Sept. 14 to Oct. 29, 2026. Part of the order was to stay 100 yards away from the applicant’s residence.
Deputies located the man on the couch in the living room with his shoes off and a remote control in his hands. He was arrested for violation of the protection order. He provided a preliminary breath sample of .313. Bail: $2,500.
In other arrests:
— A 24-year-old man was arrested Monday for a misdemeanor outside agency warrant out of Douglas County. Bail: $1,265 cash.
— A 71-year-old Carson City man turned himself into the sheriff’s office Tuesday for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear. Bail: $500 cash.
— A 37-year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Wednesday in the area of North Carson and Robinson streets for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $2,500.
— A 35-year-old woman and 32-year-old man were arrested early Wednesday for alleged drug offenses. At 2:03 a.m., a deputy was in the 2200 block of East William Street and observed a vehicle with suspended registration. The vehicle traveled out of a parking lot onto Russell Way. The deputy initiated a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Russell Way.
A deputy made contact with the driver, who was ran through dispatch where it was learned she did not have a valid driver’s license and that her license had been revoked since 2017, the report states.
Another deputy spoke with the male passenger. Both were told to step out of the vehicle. A K9 alerted positive for narcotics on the vehicle, which prompted a search where deputies located three small baggies in a storage bin with a white powdery substance, which tested presumptive positive for fentanyl, the report states.
Also located in the storage bin were two unused hypodermic needles and three used hypodermic needles. The woman was arrested for driving with a revoked license and possession of drug paraphernalia. The man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail for the woman, $1,777. Bail for the man, $2,500.
