UPDATE: 743PM: Carson City Fire Department, sheriff’s deputies and the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol responded Thursday evening to a vehicle rollover in the southbound lane of I-580 near North Carson Street. The incident is also causing delays in the northbound lane due to a debris field and a second crash nearby.

The first crash was reported to dispatch at around 6:47 p.m. Multiple callers told dispatchers it was a rollover with the vehicle on its top. Injuries are unknown at this time. At least one person was taken by ambulance to Renown Medical Center in Reno.

The southbound lane, which was closed due to the vehicle in the roadway, was opened briefly to one shoulder lane of traffic, at 7:25 p.m.

Also northbound and southbound lanes of I-580 have an estimated 200-feet debris field between Arrowhead and North Carson exits. Traffic control is underway. Motorists can expect delays.

A vehicle that may also have been involved was in the northbound lane and was struck with debris. CCFD paramedics also responded to that incident.

At around 7:30 p.m. another crash happened northbound I-580 and Arrowhead Drive involving two vehicles. One person reportedly had a leg injury. Both vehicles were parked on the shoulder of the road. Paramedics were responding to that crash as well.
