The Carson City Board of Supervisors voted to approve a townhome subdivision map that will create 34 single family residences. Supervisors also approved an interlocal amendment stating that a youth center must be compliant with the Rape Prevention Act.

The board voted to approve the Final Subdivision Map for the Silver View Townhomes, which will create 34 single family residences along with 7 common areas on a 2.75-acre parcel.

The townhomes are proposed to be located on the northwest corner of Clearview Drive and Silver Sage Drive, and a tentative map was approved by the board on March 19, 2020.

The board voted unanimously to approve the subdivision map as it was presented.

— The Board voted to approve an amendment to an interlocal agreement requiring a youth center to be compliant with the Prison Rape Elimination Act.

According to staff, WNRYC has been open for more than 20 years, and has been compliant with PREA; however the state requested to add it to the interlocal agreement to make sure it was official, according to staff.

The amendment passed unanimously.
