UPDATE: Carson City Fire Department and ambulance were called to the area of the AM/PM at 4190 S Carson Street for a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle in the pump area.
The call came into dispatch just before 1 p.m. The victim was a woman who was apparently struck by a vehicle traveling at a low rate of speed in the pump area, said Carson City Fire Department Battalion Chief John Arneson.
The victim was taken by ground ambulance to Carson Tahoe Hospital.
