(August 4, 2025 Carson City, NV) It is the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. As of 10:00 am Sunday, August 3rd, 95.1 FM KNVC Carson City Community Radio has moved its base of operations and studio from the Adams House to the Brewery Arts Center. Our new location is in the basement of the BAC Performance Hall on the BAC Campus. We have begun local content origination from this location.

We at KNVC want to extend our thanks to Carson Tahoe Hospital for being an excellent landlord, underwriter, and partner since our origination in 2017.

The Adams House was a great space for us. It was unfortunate that Carson Tahoe had to sell the property, but that is just business. We appreciate the many years we had there that allowed us to develop our programming and broadcast thousands of hours of live music, events, and news to the residents of the Capital Region (Carson City/Eagle Valley, Carson Valley, Mound House and Washoe Valley).

We also wish to thank the board of the Brewery Arts Center for recognizing the importance of community radio and providing us with space to grow. Our new location in the basement of the BAC Performance Hall gives us a larger space with which to work.

We are now located closer to the downtown historic district and can take a larger role in community events originating at the Brewery Arts Center.

The additional space we now have gives us opportunities we didn’t have at Adams House. We have space now for live music broadcasts and more production space to serve our local community with public service announcements.

We look forward to doing broadcasts of local events and supporting happenings at the BAC such as the upcoming Sassabration in September.

“KNVC is a vital community-based radio station serving the Nevada’s Capital Region. As a non-commercial, listener-supported entity, it provides a crucial platform for local voices and content often overlooked by larger media outlets. KNVC’s programming is a diverse mix of public affairs, news, arts, music, and cultural shows, all with a local focus.” said Steve Funk, KNVC General Manager. “It serves as a hub for community engagement, broadcasting local community news, local events, and emergency information. In doing so, KNVC strengthens the community by fostering a sense of shared identity and providing a space for dialogue and connection among residents, making it an indispensable resource for the region.”
