Two were arrested Sunday for suspicion of battery, affray (public fighting) and riot, all misdemeanor offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Deputies were called at 10:50 p.m. to the area of Woodside Drive and Desatoya for a report of a fight. Multiple deputies arrived on scene and interviewed witnesses and learned there were multiple suspects wearing all blue that were fighting the victims. Four individuals were later identified and found in the immediate area, the report states.
Two of those suspects were adults, ages 20 and 21. They were identified as being suspects who had battered the victims. Bail: $2,137 each. The 20-year-old suspect also had a misdemeanor warrant alleging failure to obey a court order. An additional bail amount of $500 was also placed.
In other arrests:
— A 20-year-old woman was arrested Sunday for suspicion of reckless driving. According to the booking report, a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper assigned to Carson City was attempting to locate a reckless vehicle in the are of I-580 and Fairview.
The trooper observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed northbound I-580. The vehicle speed was estimated at around 90 mph and then sped up to approximately 109 mph in a 65 mph zone, the report states.
The trooper activated their lights and siren and observed the vehicle move to the off-ramp of I-580. The vehicle continued and turned on East William Street at a red traffic light.
The trooper activated their vehicle PA system instructing the driver to turn into the next parking lot after making the turn. The vehicle stopped in the parking lot near the intersection of William Street and Russell Way. The trooper spoke with the driver and advised the reason for the stop. The driver indicated something to the effect of she was “sorry,” the report states.
Based on the dangerous and excessive speed the driver was going, the trooper determined she showed a willful disregard for the safety of other motorists on the road and was arrested for alleged reckless driving. Bail: $890.
— A 41-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of DUI and headlamps required. According to the booking report, a NHP trooper was going northbound on Airport Road and observed a vehicle traveling southbound approaching the front of the patrol car in the opposite direction. The trooper observed the vehicle did not have its front headlamps activated. It was 8:53 p.m.
The trooper made a traffic stop and advised the reason for the stop due to vehicle not having its headlamps on. The man provided driver documentation. The officer asked where he was coming from. He advised he was picking up food from a market. The deputy asked him where he was going. He stated he was going home, the report states.
While speaking, the trooper could smell an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. The trooper also observed the man to have bloodshot, watery eyes. The trooper asked him how much he had to drink. The man said one beer.
The trooper asked if he would be willing to participate in standardized field sobriety tests. The man agreed and showed signs of impairment on the tests. He provided a preliminary breath test of .85 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI and headlights required. He agreed to evidentiary blood samples. Bail: $1,242.
— A 20-year-old Dayton man was arrested Sunday, 2:34 a.m. for suspicion of DUI and speeding 30 to 40 mph over the posted speed limit. According to the booking report, an NHP trooper was conducting traffic enforcement on US-50 in Carson City. The trooper observed a vehicle traveling eastbound US-50, confirming the speed at 94 mph in a posted 55 mph zone.
The trooper made a traffic stop and asked the driver why he was traveling so fast. The driver stated he was just trying to get home. The man was shirtless and had a bunch of scrapes on his shoulders, the report states.
The deputy observed the man to be very upset. The man advised he was in a verbal fight with his girlfriend, the report states. The trooper observed the man to have bloodshot watery eyes, an odor of alcohol coming from his person, slurred speech and that he fumbled with his documents, according to the report.
The trooper asked how much alcohol he had consumed. The man stated “none, I don’t drink.” The trooper asked if he would submit to field sobriety tests. The man consented and showed signs of impairment on the tests. He refused a preliminary breath test. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI and speeding. Bail: $1,674.
— A 47-year-old Carson City woman was booked Sunday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued out of Justice and Municipal Court of Carson City. Bail: $1,000 cash.
— A 21-year-old man was arrested Sunday for a misdemeanor warrant alleging battery. Bail: $500.
— A 25-year-old Sacramento woman was booked Sunday for two misdemeanor contempt of court warrants issued out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $6,000.
— A 37-year-old woman was arrested Sunday for gross misdemeanor indecent exposure. The suspect, described as wearing blue scrubs, was arrested for allegedly pulling down her pants and exposing her buttocks in front of two patrons at the Carson City library. Bail: $2,000.
— A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000 cash.
— A 34-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Friday for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI. According to the booking report, a deputy was dispatched at 9:13 p.m. to locate a wrong way driver on Carson Street and Medical Parkway. Dispatch advised it was a white pickup traveling northbound in the southbound lane. A few moments later dispatch advised the vehicle was parked on the median at the intersection of Carson Street and Medical Parkway.
A deputy arrived and observed the vehicle, with its lights illuminated and its passenger side tires on the median. The deputy approached the vehicle and advised the driver she was on the wrong side of the road. She stated she knew and was trying to turn around. When she spoke the deputy could immediately smell a strong odor of alcohol coming form her person and observed slurred speech, the report states.
The deputy asked for her license, registration and proof of insurance. She pulled out her phone and stated her driver’s license was on her phone. When she grabbed her phone, she held it upside down and attempted to flip it over but struggled, almost dropping it, the report states. It appeared she had no dexterity in her fingers at the time, which is a sign of intoxication. She then went in her purse and locate her Nevada driver license and gave it to the deputy.
The deputy asked if she had been drinking. he stated no. The officer asked where she was coming from. She advised she was coming from a medical center on Medical Parkway. The deputy thought this was odd due to her going in the direction of the medical facility. The deputy asked where she was headed, to which she said “Carson City.” The deputy informed her she was in Carson City and what she was telling him made no sense, the report states.
The deputy informed the woman they believed she is over the legal limit to drive and asked her if she would be willing to participate in standardized field sobriety tests. She agreed and showed signs of impairment on the tests. She provided a preliminary breath test of .147 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. She was read the request for voluntary evidence and she agreed to a breath test. The results were .173 and .165. Bail: $1,137.
— A 36-year-old Carson City man as arrested Friday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant out of the Justice and Municipal Court of Carson Township. Bail: $500.
— A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday for a misdemeanor violation of conditions of suspension warrant issued out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000 cash.
— A 56-year-old Danville, Calif., man was arrested Friday for misdemeanor violation of an extended protection order against domestic violence.
According to the booking report, deputies were called to the 900 block of South Carson Street regarding a domestic dispute in front of a hotel. Reporting parties said they could hear screaming and yelps for help.
The deputy made contact with both parties upon arrival and separated them. The deputy spoke with the female and a sergeant spoke with the male half.
While speaking to the female, the deputy observed red marks on her cheekbones and red marks around her neck and a swollen lip. She stated nothing was physical between she and her husband and that they were in a verbal dispute. The sergeant advised the man stated nothing physical happened, the report states.
Dispatch conducted a wants and warrant check for both parties and advised the man had an active temporary protection order placed against him by the woman, who was the applicant. The conditions of the order state peaceful contact only between the adverse party and the protected party, along with conditions of being restrained from assaulting, threatening, abusing, harassing, following, interfering or stalking the protected person.
The man was arrested for violation of the extended protection order. Bail: No bail hold in lieu of hearing.
— A 27-year-old Silver Springs woman was arrested Friday for suspicion of driving with a revoked driver’s license for being under the influence. Bail: $1,140.
— A 25-year-old Sacramento woman was arrested Sunday two misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. Bail: $6,000.
— A 55-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of a controlled substance (2 grams methamphetamine,) possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription (Tizanidine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $2,500.
